Messiggy is a database of celestial objects, as cataloged by the French
astronomer Charles Messier in the mid-18th century.

AstroMosaic is a small commandline program to help the creation of a mosaic (a big image that is a collection of smaller images). It can automatically find the best aligment of the images. Its main goal was to compose astronomical images from a Webcam. It can take any image format supported by Qt as input.
setimgr is a fairly basic SETI@home management program. It deals with cacheing work units for dial-up connections and running multiple instances on multi-CPU machines.
SAOTrace is a suite of software designed to
simulate the as-built performance of grazing-angle
X-ray optics using the ray-tracing approach. It is
derived from portions of the NASA OSAC (Optical
Surface Analysis Code) software suite. It can
model nested conical as well as flat optical
designs, and includes the ability to model
arbitrary support structures and baffles. It can
model non-ideal multi-layer reflective coatings as
well as scattering from the optical surfaces.
discord is a very simple Python module that allows for conversion from normal dates (via 'time.time', 'time.localtime', etc.) to Discordian dates. The module can either be used as a standalone command line application (which prints the current date in Discordian form) or as an extension module.
These are drivers for the range of scientific CCD cameras manufactured by Apogee Instruments Inc. The drivers are accompanied by a full GUI interface designed for use in an astronomical environment. Binning, subregion, and drig-scan modes are currently supported.
libitl is a library that allows applications to convert between Hijri and Gregorian dates and to compute Muslim prayer times and Qibla direction based on multiple methods of calculation. It is part of the Islamic Tools and Libraries project (ITL).
Planet Finder is an applet that shows a map of the whole sky, indicating the positions of the sun, moon, stars, and planets. You can choose any date and time, and any location on the earth from which to view the sky.
UFOClock draws an astronomical clock. From it you
can read the time of day, phase of the lunar
month, ratio of day to night, time until a
solstice or equinox, and time until the end or
beginning of twilight. The time of day depends on
your location on the surface of the Earth, which
you can enter on the command line or in a dotfile
in your home directory. Location can be given as
latitude/longitude or ZIP code. It is called UFO
clock because it sort of looks like crop circles.
It is based on Sundial by George Williams. It
requires GLUT installed to run and the NOVAS
library to build.
OSXmoontool displays information about the moon,
like moon phase and the Earth-to-moon distance.
The Astro::Cosmology Perl module allows you to
calculate cosmological distances, volumes, and
times for commonly-considered cosmological
models.
COSMIX is a general purpose N body integrator. It allows simulation of the behavior of gravitational systems according to different physical theories. The current release is only a test release - it only supports the newtonian approximation. The project aims at tackling relativity in coming releases.
setirotate automatically spawns the SETI@Home
commandline client, rotating it through work units
in a work unit cache. You can configure the number
of work units to store, the number of processes to
run simultaneously, the number of simultaneous
result-upload/workunit-download transfers, the
time interval within which its allowed to perform
said transfers, and the timeout interval for when
a transfer fails. It will immediately start
working on a work unit when the previous one
finishes, while uploading the newly finished
result (if the upload interval permits) in
parallel. It strives to always keep something running.

AstroStack is an easy-to-use astronomical imaging and processing tool geared towards the use of inexpensive webcam CCDs. It provides a very tunable environment to produce the best quality images. It supports the following features: tunable webcam sampling; image stacking (averaging, additive etc.); pre and post-capture gamma (brightness) and contrast correction; dark-shot CCD calibration (subtractive); and an internal 16-bit grey-scale format for optimal resolution.
