Selected title streams are dumped instead of piped to allow for calculating the requantization factor more precisely. A slight jerkiness when playing back on standalone players was fixed.
The application was rewritten. Video calculation is now precise and the subtitle palette is OK. The shrinking factor now targets about 4.3GB. XML was removed gone and everything is now quicker. Communication with the user is now more friendly and safe.
The code from gDVDshrink was rewritten, and the
dvd.pm package was separated from the frontend. It
already has more features than the old gDVDshrink
had.
