Scam-backscatter is a milter that prevents
backscatter on mail servers which don't host
mailboxes locally. It validates mailboxes by
verifying the recipient addresses hosted on a
different mail server.
This library implements SNOBOL-like patterns. It provides various strategies form repetitive matching, supports recursive and user-defined patterns, immediate assignment of matched text, and patterns for matching multi-line texts. Bindings for C++ and Ada are provided.

snip is an Ant task designed to help with the
single-sourcing of program documentation. This
task extracts snippets of text from files, placing
them into properties in the Ant project. These
properties can then be used by any other Ant task,
and are particularly useful when referenced by
<filter>s within the <copy> task. It
was originally written to keep snippets of sample
code in API documentation synchronized with the
actual sample classes by automatically extracting
code from the samples when the project is built.

PyBison is a sophisticated yet easy-to-use parser creation toolkit for Python that interfaces directly to Bison (yacc)-based parsers. It provides full LALR(1) grammar support, allowing for simple parsing tasks through to writing compilers for high-level languages. Parser code is automatically generated from rules within user-created Parser classes (written in Python), and then, compiled, yacc'ed and linked into a shared library, which is loaded into the running process. All this happens automatically. When the parser runs, it connects directly with the yyparse() routine, and takes event callbacks upon parse targets being reached.
Montezuma is a full-text indexing/search engine library for Common Lisp. It started as a straight-forward port of Ruby's Ferret and currently approaches Lucene in performance.
DisSent (short for "Distribute Sent Mails") is a
program for separating your sent mail from a
single folder into different folders based on
properties of the individual messages in the
folder. It scans your mail storage and proposes a
set of actions to tidy up your sent mail folders.
More precisely, it gives you a list of messages
along with proposals on where to move these
messages. You can then select the messages you
want to move and let DisSent do the actual work.

RFC 2015 defines a proposed Internet standard for sending PGP-encrypted email. This PGP/MIME has been incorporated into several MUAs such as Mutt and (with the AEGYPTEN project) KMail. However, a lot of email clients still don't support it. pgp-mime-handler can decrypt/verify such messages via a pipe, so it can be used as an email filter in many programs or scripts.
Bogofilter is a statistical email classifier using
the Bayesian method. Bogo-fe adds an easy to use,
easy to install frontend for training Bogofilter
by reclassifying incoming email.
