1.0

This release comes after 2 years of beta-testing by laboratories around the world. Since the release of version 0.9.9, major enhancements were made to the ephys server/GUI code to use normal (or slightly modified) demo scripts in this environment. Numerous bugfixes and small enhancements were done.

0.9.4

This release adds many major features, such as a complete electrophysiology application, luminance and color calibration support, many new stimulus classes such as random dots, color gratings, plaids, 3D/perspective-distorted sinusoidal gratings, and much more.

0.9.1

This is a major improvement from previous releases. There are lots of GUI improvements. Type-checking was implemented for parameters under realtime control. Support for SGI IRIX was added, along with support for variable size (including 10 bits per channel) frame buffers. Triggering, both out and in, was reimplemented, as it was for other data acquisition.

0.8.2

The biggest change is the addition of
frame-by-frame control of stimuli. This feature
depends on two things which are beyond the control
of the Vision Egg. The first is the ability for
your OpenGL drivers to synchronize buffer swapping
with vertical retrace, which can usually be set in
your video drivers. The second requirement is that
your OS does not steal too much processor time
from the Vision Egg. This depends on which OS you
use, the speed of your computer, and any other
running processes and their priorities.
