Mrwtoppm provides a command line utility and a
Gimp plugin for processing RAW image files from
Minolta's DiMAGE 5 and 7 series digital cameras.
The programs decode Minolta's RAW format, perform
Bayer pattern interpolation, and color space
conversion. The programs also perform tone control
and sharpening in CIELab color space. Utilities
for displaying much of the additional data stored
in the RAW file are also included.

The major focus of this release is compatibility of the plugin with version 2.0 of the Gimp. (Unfortunately, this version is incompatible with Gimp version 1.2.) The plugin now includes support for internationalization and has a localization for Australian English. Initial values for nearly all parameters can now be set from the mrwtoppm.rc initialization file.

Color saturation enhancement is now implemented using a gamma function (instead of a simple multiplication). Preview scalings are now saved and restored when pushing/popping crop levels. The on-line documentation was updated, and a data file was removed because of license restrictions.

The user can now select rectangular regions on the plugin's preview window by pressing and dragging with button 2. The selected region can be used instead of the whole image for calculating the white balances using the various grey world algorithms. The preview and loaded image can also be cropped to the selected region.
