專案描述

Mobile RSS Reader is a J2ME (Java ME) MIDP application that is able to read most RSS servers and feed versions. RSS is a lightweight XML format designed for sharing headlines and other content like blogs and news. The data are stored on the mobile device and updated on request. It supports most encodings. It can import and synchronize RSS feed lists using formats and filter feeds based on name and URL. All/modified feeds can be updated with a single command. The zip file contains all versions for MIDP 1.0 devices, MIDP 2.0 devices without JSR-75, and MIDP 2.0 with JSR-75 devices.

Changing sort order with "River of News" is now allowed. View headings (items) were given the "River of News" functionality. Conditional get is done without getting the body if last-modified and Etag are the same. Optional font size change was done on forms and lists. Missing data was fixed for next in CDATA after the last tag. Importing from OPML with carriage return after outline tag was fixed. Handling of passwords for feeds was fixed.

VM problems that prevent settings from being
updated were worked around. The choice to use
standard exit or not is provided in exit. Feeds
with "^" in the title, description, subtitle,
summary, and author are now allowed. Dates in
yyyy-mm-dd format were fixed. A Sony Ericsson T637
problem with Exit and Delete was worked around. A
module to handle content was added. The feed name,
password, and podcast attributes author, subtitle,
and summary may now contain "|". HTML is removed
from a link for RSS. RSS Atoms without a
"published" tag are supported.

This release features a new river of news options to sort by date/feed for all/read/unread items and allows you to mark items as read or unread in a river of news. Bookmarks can be imported and added. A podcast version was provided for phones with lots of memory such as high-end smartphones. Standard J2ME menu items are used for ok, back, and exit. An prompt is now given on exit.

ISO-8859-1, Windows-1252, UTF-8, and UTF-16 are
fully supported. Only modified feeds are updated.
Memory usage is shown. Memory overflows while
saving were reduced. All unread items are shown in
a single list. Whether opening of enclosures is
allowed is shown. Bugs were fixed.
