This release has a cleaner classes layout, and is more intuitive to use. Parts of the native interface have been rewritten, some memory leaks corrected. Upgrading is recommended.
A new VideoLAN Manager API was added. It's now
possible to reparent the video output window (i.e.
move from one canvas to another) and to control
playing media time. Lots of bugfixes and cleanups
were done.
New features are available in the core library.
It's now possible to cleanup a JVLC object. The
Status class has been removed and replaced by two
helper functions. Some important bugs have been
fixed. The recommended vlc revision to use is at
least 15871.
This release focuses on new features and several
bugfixes. It's now possible to be sure if an input
is really playing and if it has an associated
video output and to retrieve its size.
The code has been cleaned up, and now JVLC binds to the new libvlc control interface. An SWT Video output widget is present, so it's now possible to embed JVLC in SWT applications.
