This version is based on wxWidgets, so it should work out of the box without any user configuration (even for a source build), and it should be fairly stable and usable as a front end to nmap and an XML log file analyzer.
A flexible matching system for geometry/texture assignment to scanned nodes. All parsing is done using SAX2 (not DOM), resulting in a smaller memory footprint. Scanning capabilities through the builtin UI (libUFO). Window resizing. A much more stable, clean, and "scalable" code base.
This release features minor code optimizations and
cleanups, resulting in about a two to four fold increase in FPS
[observed] on ATI video cards. Other cards should also see
a notable increase but due to lack of non-ATI test hardware,
this can not be confirmed.
This release fixes some crashes, removes some unneeded
classes, adds more native-like OS X integration
(however, the menus still don't work), now only draws
systems in the state 'up', now puts each scan file added in its
own node with a label of the first octet of the first host IP,
and adds a configure script.
An SGI Irix port was added along with options for controlling screen size and the look of root nodes. Problems with green labels, zoom and pan, and a missing license file were fixed. An upgrade was made to Xerces-c 2.6 and a switch was made from MSI to the Nullsoft Scriptable Install System (NSIS).
