This release fixes many large bugs. Most crashes have been eliminated. The kontact part is now fully functional. The application now handles session management properly. Several bugs concerning fetching feeds have been fixed.
A Kontact plugin, configuration dialog, the ability to mark all entries as read on exit, the ability to change middle mouse button behaviour in the browser, and the ability to specify an external browser (KDE default or custom command) has been added. This release can fetch all feeds every <num> minutes and display the unread count in the tooltip of the tray icon. Mark all read marks everything as read. The feed tree drop visualizer works. A crash if there's no kpart available has been fixed. aKregator is closed rather than minimized when the session is shutting down.
A lot of new features were added, including a
search bar for searching text in articles; showing
articles of all subitems in a folder; a progress
meter while loading a feed list; context menus for
the article and page readers, tabs; an unread
count in the tray icon; the "Next Unread" action
in the feed menu; the use of Ctrl-W to close tabs;
and an option to fetch all at startup. A vast
number of bugfixes were also made.
