Dear Tera Term Support Team,

I work at EDAG Engineering GmbH as a System Safety Engineer in the Functional Safety department in Weinheim (Germany). We have been asked by our customer to qualify the software tool used in development. We need support regarding the tool Tera Term.

For the mentioned tool, could you please answer the Excel list below and provide us with the relevant documentation/certificates?

1 Is the Tool classified and qualified according to ISO26262?

If yes: what are the resulting outcomes? - Tool Confidence Level (TCL) - Maximum ASIL - Qualification methods

2 If not: Is the tool classified and qualified (or developed) according to a different standard? 3 Is the tool capable of detecting any tool failures? 4 Is the Tool Test Report available? 5 Is the Tool Bug Report (Known malfunctions/KPNS) available? 6 Are the Release Notes available? 7 Is a Tool Guideline available? 8 Is the Development Process Documentation available? 9 Is there a tool safety Manual available? 10 Is there respective Tool Qualification/Technical Report Report available? * if available, please send the appropriate documents to confirm the table ** if there is any other important information, feel free to add to the table Thank you in advance and kind regards Denis Stemmle
