I am sending to teraterm the following bytes in UTF-8 0xE2, 0x96, 0xAE which is equivalent to U+25AE (black vertical rectangle) to render QR code but this is failing. Teraterm is wrongly outputing another character instead.
I have checked windows character map for the same font as used in teraterm: the above unicode value exist and symbol is indeed defined as a black vertical rectangle. Why is Teraterm failing to display such character? Can it be fixed? Other terminal app such as putty can render it good :-(
