ちょっとEmacs環境つかってみようと思ったときにたまたま見つけて簡単に導入できてうれしかったです。そのままEmacsにはまってしまった。。。

windowsユーザーでLinux初心者の自分が数年前にLinuxをちょっと触ったものの慣れずLinuxから遠ざかって使わなくなってしまいましたが最近gnupackの存在を知り、 一からCygwinの環境を構築する面倒や管理の面倒も無く(ちなみにgnupackを知る前に本家Cygwinを使おうと思ったがこの理由で使うのをやめた)、お膳立てされたこのgnupackを使ってみて再びLinuxも使うようになって入り浸ることができました。 (余談：同梱のstartup_gvimやstartup_emacs(や多分startup_cygwinも、か)はxpではエラーが出て起動できませんが、「Change-SubsystemVersion」というソフトなどでPEヘッダ内の一部を書き換えることで起動できました。)

Emacs24.4.1既知の問題のようですが、起動時に splash.png が表示されません。 ( About Emacs では表示されます。）

Great! I could use `apt-cyg` after `export LANG=C` on Windows 8.1.

解凍するだけで、vim、emacs、gccが使えます。とても楽チン！

exeファイルを実行するだけで、導入できるとは!! 開発者様には感謝の気持ちで一杯です。 ATOK17でも日本語インライン入力可能でした。

自分はemacs onlyしか使ってませんが本家リリースからの対応も早く大変重宝してます。
