This is the first release from this codebase in quite a few years. The project has been renamed to Warlock-GTK to distinguish it from the more active Warlock2 project. The initial work towards this release was done years ago, but the code was never in releasable shape. Since the last pre-release, it has migrated to GTK 3, removed support for JS scripts, and switched from a dock widget to windows for sub-windows.
The interface was fleshed out a little more. Druid was
removed and its functionality moved into Warlock. Some
compatibility issues with wizard scripts were fixed, and
support for Python scripts was added. There is support for
passing .sal files from play.net. This version also no longer
aborts on unrecognized codes, and adds support for macros.
Some gconf install problems were fixed. The menu
now remembers the state of the arrival window. The
highlight modification system was rewritten. The
handling of game time and round times was
improved. Correct handling of items in hand was
implemented. Perl regex is now used for highlights
instead of posix regex. nextRoom and save in
scripts were implemented.
The major changes in this release include a porting to GTK2,
rewritten script processing, rewritten protocol handler (both
of the last two are now near perfect), and improved custom
highlighting.
Perl script support, triggers, script blocks, wizard macro compatability, a thought window, new images, logging, draggable toolbars, druid (a Dragonrealms game entrance), and GNUstandardized configure/make/make install were added. Warlock Front End now depends on GTK+ instead of Gnome.
