ServoMaster provides hardware independent abstractions to servos and servo controllers. It has implementations for several servo controller families, including Phidget, Pololu, Parallax, and SSC. It has support for servo and controller metadata, introspection, and capabilities discovery.

Support for autoconf 2.53 and automake 1.6 has been added. Support for autoconf 2.13 has been removed, as it was not possible to keep both 2.13 and 2.53 code together without running into complications. The firmware code for PhidgetAdvancedServo has been updated. The run script name has been changed from 'ft_view' (which was originally created for FT639) to the more proper 'console'.

This release adds support for PhidgetAdvancedServo, a USB servo controller which is able to support 8 servos. One particular feature of this controller is that it is able to support the servo movement velocity and acceleration on a hardware level. Another major feature is that it is a bootable device, so all that needs to be done if there's a bug in it is to download the firmware and reboot it.
