This version is modified to work with the SNORT /var/log/snort/alert log file, rather than the normal snort syslog entries in /var/log/messages. It has been redesigned under the Anjuta IDE (project file included), now includes 'criticality / priority' pixmap in line with new SNORT 1.8 alert priorities, and removes the panel pixmap.

Hostname lookup for source and destination servers has been reimplemented.

This release fixes the "About Box" segfault and
removes a couple of minor debug messages that
snuck into the 1.0 release.

This release includes fixes for a couple of minor memory leaks, changes to the log attaching mechanism to avoid losing track of new alerts when logs rotate, four fields instead of three, changes to cater for Snort 1.8's log format modifications, and upgrades to the backend processing to support new Snort 1.8 log features including classification and priority.

The dynamic column-size update was removed, as it was causing the window to overflow the screen on low-resolution displays.
