POPsearch is a desktop search engine that is designed to help you easily find information on your computer. With features that other search engines don't have,it lets you index your entire collection of email messages and files. As information is indexed, it is immediately available for analysis from any Web browser. When POPsearch is configured correctly, you can also access your data remotely with RSS feeds, email feeds, or from any computer that has a Web browser.

Now filtering Emacs backup files from the indexer. Now ignoring comments in the file exclusions. A logout button has been added. The way that low space warnings are handled has changed. Statistics have been added to the Web browser. There is performance tuning of the popbuild process, and a minor change to the directory display. A warning is displayed for systems with weak thread support. Post-processing has been removed from the PDF conversion. Some changes have been made to the build configuration.

This version features documentation changes. Some
changes were made to the build configuration. Obsolete
restart logic was removed. The help messages were
changed. A core in the email indexing phase was fixed.
There was some performance tuning of the popbuild
process. A bug with file names that have shell redirects was
fixed, as was a bug with PDF conversion failures, a bug with
RTF conversion failures, and a bug with WordPerfect
conversion failures. Conversion scripts now shut down when
they are told to do so. There was a minor change to the
create account Web page. This version now filters Emacs
backup files from the indexer.
