Numerous fixes for internationalization and UTF-8 encoding support. Global parameters and global list processing have been fixed. The demo can be installed to a directory with spaces. Updated JPivot and JFreeReport samples. The Quick Start Guide has been translated to French.

Improved analysis through JPivot integration. Web-based pivot tables can be created without custom JSPs or Java code. Pivot tables can be linked to from dashboards, charts, and reports. Dashboards and portlets now support additional chart types. Dutch and French localizations. Support for JFreeReport version 0.8.6.4. Multi-byte Unicode support in all content.

An Internationalization Guide is available. Files are ready to translate for Chinese, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. JNDI support has been added for Action Sequence documents, components, and test cases. Business rules are performed for each user to determine security filters to be applied to reports and dashboards, etc. Portal Dashboard Filter Panel, a selection panel for dashboard controls, has been added.

This release contains new features, new samples, documentation updates, and bugfixes. Major additions: JSR168 Portlets; navigation; dashboard dials; embedded content; GMail support in the email component; scheduler administration; enhanced reporting support; bursting examples. scheduling examples; dashboard widget examples; and portal examples. The "Getting Started" guide has been updated with more information about samples. "Creating Pentaho Solutions" has been updated.
