MDB Tools is a library and set of utilities for reading Microsoft Access Database (MDB) files. The authors are currently seeking developers to help on the project. The package also includes a GTK-based file browser, a small SQL engine, and an ODBC driver.

The graphical interface (gmdb2) was updated to use GNOME 2.0. Debugger fixes and improvements were made. Fixes were made for Jet4 databases. Fast reads are now possible for large databases. Improvements were made to the SQL Engine and ODBC driver. Lots of enhancements and fixes for command line utilities were made.
