Lurker

This is a bugfix-only release of the 0.1x branch to address concerns
which should be met before the 0.5x branch becomes available. It
corrects the SIGPIPE crash and a minor caching issue, and disables a
not-so-informative and irritating log message.

IE6 and Mozilla 1.1 XSL can now render the XML. Non-ASCII mail headers now work
with mailto: links. Handling of browser cache was improved. Forward/backward
links within messages were added. Minor bugfixes were made.

This release corrects several major problems (the false negative search results, several database corruption issues, and a problem which led to SIGBUS errors). A Debian package is now in sid and Sourceforge provides the latest tarball.

Lurker is now quite swift and robust, although a
few non-critical features are missing. This
release is considered quite usable for low traffic
mailing lists which have low risk or for faster
mirrors of large, high-volume lists. It is
unlikely to cause serious trouble, but it is still
an alpha. Main changes include date-range keyword
searching, faster database format, bugfixes, and
better installation instructions.
