KStars is a graphical desktop planetarium for KDE. It provides an accurate simulation of the night sky, as seen from any location on Earth, on any date. The display includes 40,000 stars, 13,000 deep-sky objects, 2500 comets and asteroids, all 8 planets, and the Sun and Moon.

The Moon (with phases) is included in addition to the Sun and all the planets (except Pluto). Skymap is now resizable, and rate of time passage can be controlled. Toolbar, custom image viewer, links to informative web pages, and French translation added. Speeds of loading and of rendering the sky were improved.
