Hanterm is an xterm improvement for Hangul (Korean Language) support. Its features include support for johab* encoded fonts, UTF-8 encoding for output, in addition to usual wansung (KSC-5601/KSX-1001) encoded fonts.

A configure script was added. A keepBaseLine option was added. The Linux alpha
build patch was updated. The HANGUL_KEYBOARD_TYPE environment varibale now
works as advertised. The options added in version 3.1.5 and 3.1.6 are now in
Hanterm.ad. The default values for some options have been changed. Some formal
documents have been added.
The Sebeol keyboard layout is now supported. Several bug fixes were made. The
program now builds on AIX 4.3, NetBSD, Compaq Unix 5.1, Debian potato/woody,
and SuSE 6.1/7.0.
