Friend to Friend (F2F) Computing is a new paradigm
for distributed computing, merging ideas from
peer-to-peer, High Performance Computing, and
social networks in instant messaging. It is also
middleware in Java on top of the multi-protocol
instant messenger SIP communicator. On top of this
middleware you can write simple distributed
programs using either a pure object-oriented
approach or an MPI interface. You can easily set
up a spontaneous desktop grid with your instant
messaging buddies and share your computational
power with your friends.
