Comal-Linux

This release includes many new applications and improvements. The new applications are Osmo, Galculator, Lxtask, GpicView, Thwab, Hijra, Gpaint, IceCat, Lxinput, Lxrandr, and Wicd. The updated application are Lxappearance, Zekr, Minbar, OpenOffice, EpdfViewer, Fotoxx, Pingus, GYachi, PCmanFM, Pidgin, IceWM, and SystemTools. The application menu now is semi-automatic: new applications are shown when the menu is told to refresh itself.

This release includes a new init, start icon, and wallpaper. Noor was replaced by Zekr, Simple Burn by Graveman, Xeznet by Gnome-ppp, and Mrxvt by Sakura. Hijra (Islamic calendar) and WxCam (Web cam recorder) applications were added. A new "Aqsa Dalam Bahaya" book was included.

This version is based on Slackware 13.0, with Linux Live Script 6.3.0. It is built on Linux kernel 2.6.27.27. Python and Perl were added as library dependencies. Opera 10.01, WinFF 1.0.0, GCompris 7.4, Tuxpaint 0.9.15b, Supertux 0.1.3, d4x 2.5.7.1, and chmsee 1.0.3 were added. Pcmanfm 0.5.1 and gtkam 0.1.14 were updated. XDM, zekr, GIMP, graveman, and Firefox were replaced with new applications. WDM 1.26, noor 1.2.1, mtpaint 3.31, and simpleburn 1.2.3 were added. Osmo, monica, liferea, xine, gkrellm, and ncdu were removed.

Xarchiver and Fotoxx were updated. Perl, LPairs, and Pipepanic were added. Typing in the installation script was fixed. A menu with Hijri calendar and Salat time was added. The icon for Idesk was enhanced. This is the final release with the "El-Kas" codename and 2.6.27 kernel.

This release updated IceWM, Katoob, fox-toolkit, Pidgin and facebook-plugins, nfs-util, Mozilla Firefox, and the indonesia-inggris translation. Leafpad replaced the adie text editor. Xrmap, Liferea, Eznet, and gqview were added.
