Coindesigner is a RAD (rapid application
development) system for building 3D applications
using openInventor. It allows to create simple 3D
scenarios just using drag and drop, and requires
no programming experience.

A complete rewrite to use Trolltech-Qt 4.3.2. This release can export scenes to C++ code. There are icons on scene graphs (similar to Inventor Mentor icons). There is a reconfigurable GUI based on docks. This release has the OpenInventor source code editor with syntax highlighting. It has support for conections, engines, and more. There is a list of recent files, and a console to show errors, warnings, and info messages. You can drag and drop files from the explorer to the coindesigner window.
Geometry export to VRML2, SMF, OBJ, STL, OFF, and XYZ. New geometric operations, such as mesh reduction (with QSLIM) and convex hull computation. Many bugfixes.
VRML2 export was implemented, the "So" prefix was stripped from class names in the GUI, and code cleanups were made. Translation files are now searched for in ".", $HOME/.coindesigner, /usr/share/coindesigner, and /usr/local/share/coindesigner.
