Pattern matching for community lists, many fixes in the OSPF protocol (especially in multi-areas and vlinks), and several minor bugfixes.

Much better BSD kernel support (IPv6, alien routes, etc.). Deep OSPF socket changes; OSPFv2 in Linux now supports more non-stub IP prefixes on one physical iface. Export of device routes to the kernel is more restricted. routes with strange scope are not allowed in BIRD RTs. New filterable route attributes. Restricted read-only CLI (option -r). Pattern matching for the 'show protocols' command. BGP protocol details in the 'show protocols all' command. Configurable syslog name (and default on IPv6 has changed). Statistic counters for pipes were fixed.

The option 'interpret communities' allows this release to override implicit handling of well-known communities. The 'configure' command uses route reload when filters change. This release adds the router ID of the advertising router as an OSPF route attribute. The 'show route' command indicates the primary route and shows the OSPF Router ID. Configurable date/time formats. Symbol names can be enclosed by '', and so include a hyphen and start with a number. There are several minor bugfixes.

OSPFv3 (IPv6 support for OSPF) was implemented. MRTdump, a binary logging protocol compatible with other routing daemons, was implemented. Only the BGP part of MRTdump is currently implemented. The default value of the BGP attribute LOCAL_PREF was changed from 0 to 100. The default mode of pipes was changed from opaque to transparent.

This release implements BGP Route Refresh (RFC 2918) and a route reload command. It has deep changes and bugfixes in the pipe protocol. There are bugfixes in OSPF premature aging of LSA, in OSPF next hop calculation, in the core related to route withdraws, and several minor bugfixes.
