Arla is a free AFS client and server implementation. The main goal is to make a fully functional client with all capabilities of normal AFS. Other implemented things are all the normal management tools and a server.

BSD was made more stable. Parts of libroken were updated. SuidCells are now always read. m68k fixes were made in LWP. arlad was made more robust against a busy fileserver. Many bugfixes were made.
Now works on Solaris/x86, and builds on NetBSD 1.5. Cache-recover is no longer the default in arlad, and directory invalidation bug on Linux has been fixed.
Support for fake mount points (with the `--fake-mp' option), a new bos program, an update to more recent kernels (2.3.99-pre and 2.4.0-test series), a cmd-compatible lib, better handling of write-back to mmap-ed pages after close, BSD updates, even more MIT Kerberos compatibility, more stability, and bugfixes.
