初歩的質問申し訳ありません。概要の「Windows版はKgThemeを使うものと、GTK を使うものがあります。
GTK 版を動作させるためには別途 GTK for Win32 を入手する必要があります。」
の、
KgTheme
GTK for Win32
とはなんですか？それらをどうしたらよいのでしょうか？
使わせていただいているのは緑の背景なのでGTK版だとおもいます。

簡単にいうと、ユーザーインターフェース部分のソフトウェアの違いです。
KgThemeは、MFC(Microsoft Foundation Class)の特に見た目部分を若干拡張したような感じです。
GTKは GIMP Toolkit です。
別に「どうしたらよい」とかいうものではなく、どちらか好きな方を自由に使ってください。
ダウンロードのページを見ると、KgTheme版の方が圧倒的にダウンロード数が多いので、大抵の人はこっちを使ってるってことですね。
