If you're into either:
- low-tech, refurbishing devices, DIY, climate change action
- absolute speed and resources for up-to-date applications to shine
- modular, open source use and/or development
antiX-linux is worth two hours of your time. Just try it :-)

Think ChromeOS is lightweight/best bang for your buck? try antiX :)

Might need some tinkering before it shines graphically speaking.
