The Discrete Event Calculus Reasoner allows a programmer to add common-sense reasoning capabilities to programs. It supports deduction/temporal projection, abduction/planning, postdiction, and model finding. It allows default reasoning about action, change, space, and mental states. It is based on the event calculus, a comprehensive and highly usable logic-based formalism. It helps applications understand the world, make inferences, adapt to unexpected situations, and be more flexible.

Amora (A mobile remote assistant) is an
application for S60 Nokia smartphones written in
Python (PyS60). It allows you to send keyboard
events and mouse moving in your Linux desktop. You
can control slides, movies, and any other
application. Supported features include: mouse
drag, double clicking, mouse left button, and some
common keyboard keys (Enter, Esc, Space, F5, arrow
key left/right, 'F', etc.). It can take a
screenshot of the active window on your desktop
and view thumbnail on the cellphone.
Communication uses Bluetooth.

pichart is a GUI for pigrammar, an assembler and
programmer for picloader-programmed devices.
pichart offers a user-friendly interface, making
programming PIC chips easy. It looks like a flow
chart designer and permits operations like reading
from the device's serial port, writing on it,
setting ports' value, and setting timers. It also
permits programming directly during execution.

(Serial Ports on) Steroids enables users to
execute remote C functions in a Python shell over
a serial interface. It is useful for embedded
system testing and industrial automation. It
generates C code for the target and a Python
script for the host automatically from a C header
file.

autocrypt is a udev/hotplug script that allows you to create a
cryptographic mapping of your drives automatically in response to a
plugging event of an identification device.

phpMyRecipes is a simple Web-based application for
storing and retrieving recipes. It implements
security to allow recipes to be searched and
viewed by anyone, but all functions involving
changes require additional privileges to be
granted by the administrator. Recipes are
categorized, and new categories are easy to
create. Ingredients are added to the database
on-the-fly as they are used in recipes. Unit types
(such as "cup" or "teaspoon") are also stored in
the database, and unit "plurals" are also handled
correctly. A robust search feature that supports a
wide range of criteria, including words found (or
not found) in the instructions, the recipe name,
category, and ingredients list is included.

Vespasian is a web-based frontend for controlling
iTunes on your Mac from any Web-enabled device,
specifically targeting WiFi enabled PDA devices.
It also includes a general iTunes framework for
customizing and extending functionality.

Smitten differs from traditional media centres in
three major ways. It contains no media playback at
all, which makes it very small (and suitable for
porting to embedded systems) and quick to
initialize. It targets a TV display and interface,
which means there's less information on any
particular screen, and a much simpler control
interface consisting of left, right, up, down, and
select. No mouse is required. It is also highly
skinnable, and cross-platform to most systems.
Essentially, it provides an easy-to-use menu
system that allows the user to navigate a
hierarchy of files, and view them using an
(external) tool.

domus.Link is a Web-based frontend for Heyu. Its
design focuses on separating configuration from
actual controls, thus giving the user a simple and
user-friendly GUI. The primary concern is that
anyone with little or no knowledge of home
automation systems can easily manage and
administer the system.

jHomenet is a home automation application.
jHomenet uses both X-10 and Dallas Semiconductor
1-Wire network sensors and devices to collect
sensor data and control devices. jHomenet can be
programmed to respond to events, including
particular sensor data values or time-of-day
events.

Hampton Bay RF Fan Control Software includes
schematics for simple circuits to connect a
Hampton Bay RF remote control to a Weeder digital
I/O and Analog input board, a daemon to control
and monitor one or more ceiling fans using these
Weeder boards, and a Misterhouse module to
interface with the fan_control_daemon.

mOOo Impress Controller is a set of tools used to
control slides presentations on OpenOffice.org
Impress. It consists of a Java ME application
(mobile) and a Java SE Add-On (desktop) that is
installed in OOo (OpenOffice.org). The user can
switch slides (next and previous) while a timer
(used for presentation controlling) is displayed
on the screen of the mobile device. It uses
Bluetooth for Computer-Device communication with
Project Marge and UNO API for OOo integration.

Shaper Super-Script is a bash script that uses
iproute2 and shapecfg (shaper.o) to limit incoming
and outgoing traffic on a Linux router. It also
has an option for supporting more than 100 shapers
via a kernel patch.

skaMenu is a menu browser. It's controlled with an
LIRC (Linux Infrared Remote Control) device, and
it's very configurable through the use of an XML
configuration file. It supports TrueType fonts and
antialiasing, and the output is done with the
pygame library.
