Tiara is a BIOS replacement that boots an unmodified Linux kernel directly from the disk or the ethernet on any SiS 530/5595 Motherboard. It supports auto-sizing of memory and cache, PCI, IDE, VGA, SUPERIO, ENET, SOUND setup, and init. It supports the console on the std VGA(530) or via the SERIAL port(6801) from powerup, includes a Forth interpreter in flash and some diags, and fits nicely in 128kb of flash.

The Beowulf Distributed Process Space (BProc)
is set of kernel modifications, utilities, and
libraries which allow a user to start processes
on other machines in a Beowulf-style cluster.
Remote processes started with this
mechanism appear in the process table of the
front end machine in a cluster. This allows
remote process management using the normal
UNIX process control facilities. Signals are
transparently forwarded to remote processes
and exit status is received using the usual wait
() mechanisms.

Mac OS X contains the utility Migration Assistant,
which can transfer users, application settings,
and various files from an old Macintosh to a new
one. Mango tries to bring similar functionality to
Linux, but with wider OS and application support.

Medusa DS9 is used to increase Linux's security. It consists of two major parts, Linux kernel changes and the user-space daemon. Kernel changes do the monitoring of syscalls, filesystem actions, and processes, and they implement the communication protocol. The security daemon communicates with the kernel using the character device to send and receive packets. It contains the whole logic and implements the concrete security policy. That means that Medusa can implement any model of data protection; it depends only on configuration file, which is in fact a program in the internal programming language, somewhat similiar to C.

pam_cucipop is a patch that enables cucipop to use the PAM authentication mechanism. This is not part of the official cucipop release. It also includes a patch to fix an out by one segmentation fault problem.

be installed in an automobile and used either
headless or with a monitor and some input device
like a keyboard or remote control.
