GrypPhon focuses on adding new features to the
old concept of a CD player, while maintaining
extreme configurability. It is written purely in
Python and contains a Linux CD-ROM audio library
for Python containing all normal CD-playing
features, plus volume control and skipping/searching.

Witty CD Player is a CD player for Unix users with
troublesome CD/DVD drives. It utilizes cdda2wav to
perform software buffering. It seamlessly blends
into the rest of GNOME and with other GTK apps,
though GNOME is not required.
Bbb is a set of utilities for burning to CD-R and CD-RW media. It allows one to easily perform tasks such as burning the contents of a directory, burning an audio CD, burning a CD image, and copying CD media from the command line. Bbb is implemented as several simple tools, which may be used easily in standard UNIX pipelines.
cda123 is a command line CD player that looks like mpg123/321 and ogg123. It can use CDDB to display track names. It depends on libcdaudio.
C.D.M.T. (CD-ROM Mastering Tool) is a bash script front-end to the cdrecord utility using the dialog program. Development of this project is currently stopped.
