[Mingw-users] How to generate the _imp_ prefix?

How much experience do you possess with Binutils/GCC and the like?
In another email I will teach you how to produce (MSVC-compatible) import libraries! By the way, there are plenty of online tutorials at your disposal.

I added
   add_compile_options(-Wl,--out-implib,libmylib.dll.a)
to the top-level CMakeLists.txt; it changed nothing.
