QJoyPad is a Qt program that converts joystick/gamepad input into key presses or mouse actions in the X Window System, allowing the user to control any program with their joystick.

An XLib bug has been fixed. The layout format has changed dramatically to give greater flexibility and to make layouts sharable (there is free a conversion program to update your old layouts on the QJoyPad homepage). Auto-detection of joysticks has been added. Users can swap layouts from the command line or a script. A NoGui mode has been added to run without any interface (frees up the screen and some system resources).
