This release fixes a major security hole that allowed a server to attack before host key verification. It also includes a number of minor feature enhancements and bugfixes.
Security vulnerability CORE-2004-0705 has been fixed. There are SSH1 improvements. Random noise generation causing some computers to hang has been fixed. There is better dead key support. Terminal speed is now sent to the SSH server. X forwarding on the Unix port can now talk to Unix sockets as well as TCP sockets. Various crashes and assertion failures have been fixed.
