New features include large file support (LFS), an option to read (from an external text file) a list of metalink urls to download, an option to set the HTTP proxy and port to use, an option to avoid downloading of HTML dependencies (images, CSS, etc.), and an option to save the report files progressively. New parameters have been added to report files: error code, HTTP code, local filename, and MIME-type filename. The creation of static and dynamic libraries has been added. The Mulk license has been changed to LGPL, in order to lead to wider use of libmulk. Several bugs were fixed.

i18n gettext internationalization has been added. There are new options to go to foreign hosts and accept and reject specific domains. There are new options to specify the username and password for the connections, new options to follow FTP links in HTML documents, a new option to change the temporary directory, and a new output directory to save downloaded files. An Italian translation has been added.

A Windows version has been added. A Metalink option has been added to resume download of a file. Metalink support for FTP has been added. A Metalink max number of connections per file parameter is supported. There is a new option to follow Metalink in HTML documents, an option to change the default user agent identity, and the ability to save URLs with a specified MIME type to the output directory. Output data and temporary directories are now separated.
