kwintv is a KDE 2.x application for watching television or video streams via the bttv driver in Linux. It has more or less the same abilities as xtvscreen or xawtv, but it is based on Qt and KDE.

Major enhancements include preliminary Xinerama support, a new channel file
format and location (which uses standard KDE methods), and a great deal of code
clean up. Many bug and crash fixes were applied. In addition, there were many
enhancements to the fullscreen mode to make it more stable and correct.
This release fixes some build problems for SuSE users, along with some state problems with mute and capture. It also adds new toolbar icons and a DCOP interface. Finally, the system tray icon has been expanded with two new entries.
Several members of the KDE team have taken over maintenance of this program in order to fix many bugs, provide Xv support, portability, KDE 2.x and 3.0 support, and many other new features. This is a relatively stable release, which fixes many problems, and includes a new build system.
This release now works with XFree 4.x and supports KDE 2/QT 2.x. New features include a scan wizard and a changed program setting dialog, a new program selection using number keys, a new channel list for receiving regions, an "always on top" mode, and the mouse cursor has been made to hide automatically.
