kernel-alert is a perl script meant to be run as a cron, to send e-mail whenever new Linux kernels become available. It also has the ability to attach the new patches to the e-mail.

This release uses the working directory correctly, deletes the right files if asked to do so, and only connects to the FTP server if it intends to download something (like releases prior to 0.6). Some syntax has been cleaned up to make perl -w happy, and the .pl extension has been removed.
