Java Memory Profiler (JMP) uses the JVMPI interface to track objects and method times in the JVM (Java Virtual Machine). It uses a GTK+ interface to display statistics. The current instance count and the total amount of memory for each class is shown as is the total time spent in each method.

This release adds an object allocation level so that it is possible to ask for objects in the current reset level only, giving better allocation and string lists. It adds the ability to show owners for a given string and a given instance. The heap dump no longer throws away allocation sites for objects if object tracing is on when the heap dump is requested.

The string inspector now shows how many bytes each string uses and the number of strings (per node and for duplicates). The JVM simulator has been improved. A few memory leaks have been fixed. The German translation has been updated.

Minor UI cleanup. A string dumper has been added that makes it easy to inspect all strings in memory, and also has the ability to dump all strings to a file. A bug in down link handling that caused odd crashes and also caused the instance count to increase for arrays has been fixed.
