This release includes a new blacklist filter, generates ETag headers, and supports Really Simple Discovery (RSD). It also features per entry meta-data, new themes, customizable file encoding, updates to the Blogger and MetWeblog APIs, new plugins like Google Highlighter, Post Preview, Cronos, and support for posting entries using Textile markup.
This release adds support for the CommentAPI and Trackback auto-discovery. The templates, RSS/RSS2, and RDF were updated. A new Fetcher interface allows for alternate storage/caching models.
