aub is a time-tested Perl program to download articles from newsgroups and decode them automatically. It is simple, well documented, and easy to use and configure. It handles multi-part postings, and both uuencoded and base64 encodings.

This release fixes a bug that completely broke the HOOK directive. If you don't use the HOOK directive and don't plan to, you shouldn't need to bother upgrading from 2.1.2.
This version is much better at finding binary files. It also includes support for filenames with spaces, support for multiple users running aub on the same machine simultaneously, support for skipping unresolved articles, documentation updates, and many bugfixes.
A new maintainership, bringing with it a number of bugfixes, code cleanups, improvements to the quality and relevancy of the documentation, addition or reintroduction of a good deal of new documentation, and new tools and descriptions for installing aub.
