This release adds improvements in the network protocol, which now
includes congestion and latency handling, timeouts, and keepalive
probes. These changes are reflected in many new network tuning options
available for all modules. The SDL client has been improved, and the
still-sketched GTK client has been reintroduced.
This release focuses on bugfixes. Additional features include a better parser, a new game developer's manual, and draggable windows for the SDL client.
The goals of the project have been made concrete with this release. Radical changes in the a-renet protocol and in all modules now allow support for TCP/IP games.
A skin system, automatic line wrap, bugfixes, and optimizations for the SDL client. One default and three additional skins can be now be viewed and downloaded from the home page.
