Installed- but connection failed

I am new to the world of Eclipse and doing c++
programming CDT. After installing the DBViewer I tried
new connection string
jdbc:mysql://192.168.0.72:3306/database1... for driver
I given MYSQL Driver- I am working with mysql in linux
fedora platform..... After this the connection gives
the error details "com.mysql.jdbc.Driver"

I hope the presence of JDBC MySql driver is enough...
Is I want to do any more...

2.MySQL version
ex 5

3.MySQL's JDBC Driver version
ex mysql-connector-java-5.1.5-bin.jar
