Cabos cannot start after updating JAVA. (2010-01-26 23:51 by morley2every1 #48124)

Cabos was not able to start since I updated JAVA in the latest version.
When I executed Cabos, such as follows is displayed.
"Cannot load JAVA software."

I allowed the cabos at Firewall.
And I allowed the cabos at HIPS.

Version of JAVA : Version6 Update18 (Build 1.6.0_18-b07)
Version of Cabos: Cabos 0.8.1
Version of OS : Windows XP professional SP3

This bug should be fixed in the next release.
Or try "Java 6 Update 17" instead of "Java 6 Update 18".

We don't know how long it will be and,herefore, #48175 advised to try "Java 6 Update 17".

Open "http://java.com/ja/download/"
Click "All Java Downloads"
Click "Other Java Versions"
Continue clicking and you finally reach
"https://cds.sun.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/WFS/CDS-CDS_Developer-Site/en_US/-/USD/ViewFilteredProducts-SingleVariationTypeFilter" where you can download "jre-6u17-windows-i586.exe" which is "Java 6 Update 17".

I tried "Java 6 Update 17" and succeeded for Cabos to start.

I too run Win XP Pro w/SP3 and I get the same message. My question is do I have to uninstall Version6 Update18 (Build 1.6.0_18-b07) first and then install Java 6 Update 17 or can I just install Java 6 Update 17 or can I go into the "Control Panel", click on the "JAVA icon", then the "JAVA applet" comes up and then click on the "JAVA tab" and then click on "view..." and disable the current version of JAVA in order to get CABOS to run? My second question is when will Cabos be updated. Thanks.
