Extra Header Field (2008-09-21 06:04 by ejones1 #38947)

I got a message that epa failed to decrypt. It looked something like this:

-----BEGIN PGP MESSAGE-----
Charset: ISO-8859-1

Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (MingW32)
Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org

hQQOAx8Jy...
-----END PGP MESSAGE-----

However, when I deleted the Charset: field, it was able to decrypt it just fine. That is, when I made look like:

-----BEGIN PGP MESSAGE-----
Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (MingW32)
Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org

hQQOAx8Jy...
-----END PGP MESSAGE-----

Then epa-decrypt-region worked as expected.

Nevermind. The problem is in gnupg. gpg, on the comand line, choked on the header as well. I'll go consult their mailing list.
